Last night the House Oversight Committee Democrats released a set of Epstein files which they had obtained through Epstein’s estate. While some of them may be repeats, many of them are not, including the now infamous birthday book. As I promised last night when I sent through that one collection of notes and unredacted address book pages, here for my Notes from the Front members are all of the documents that the House released last night, along with my observations.
(If you are not yet a Notes from the Front member there will be a button below which will allow you to join instantly (it’s just $5 a month) and gain immediate access to these files and the rest of my commentary on what they contain.)
PLEASE BE SURE TO HIGHLIGHT AND BRING TO PUBLIC ATTENTION ANYTHING YOU SEE IN THESE THAT PERTAINS TO ANY *NON-VICTIMS* WHO ARE CURRENTLY LIVING!
The files were labeled by the House Oversight Committee as Request No. 1, Request No. 2, Request No. 4, and Request No. 8, so I will follow the same naming convention, although I added “Epstein” at the front of each file name. I have no idea whether there are Requests 3, 5, 6, and 7, but it seems likely, hopefully they will be released at some point.
Epstein Request No. 1
This is the infamous birthday book. This was a book put together by Ghislaine Maxwell; she asked his friends to contribute a memory of Epstein or a birthday greeting of some sort, and then she bound it all together into two volumes to give to Epstein on his 50th birthday. It has a table of contents with many names redacted.. hrrrmmm. That said, very little of the actual book is redacted, and a great deal of it is very interesting.
The book contains, among lots of other things, what appears to be a fake newspaper, the “Sea Gate Chronicle”, likely created by a friend for the event of Epstein’s 50th birthday, and which contains, presumably, items relating to Epstein. Sea Gate is an area of Brooklyn where Epstein spent his childhood.
Keep in mind that as best as I can figure the Sea Gate Chronicle is a fake paper, and parody. That said, in the Sea Gate Chronicle, under an article titled “Dirt Brothers Arrested” it’s interesting that there are names *redacted*, even though a) it’s presumably all fiction, or at least only very loosely based on actual events, and b) those events were more than 50 years ago! Same with an article titled “Hot rides in ‘the gate’”. (This will all make sense to you when you start reading it.)
There are also lots of pictures and clippings, including a clipping from what seems to be a singles publication which features a picture of Epstein and the caption “Financial strategest Jeffrey Epstein, 27, talks only to people who make over a million a year! If you’re “a cute Texas girl,” write the New York Dynamo at 55 Water St., 49th floor, N.Y.C. 10041.
There are first hand accounts *from I believe someone else* (as this is the birthday book of friends’ reminiscences of Epstein) of things like “Two very young girls, probably just 17, were riding in my fathers caddy, Park Ave, top down smooching it up in car.” Curiously during these handwritten accounts there are names redacted as well, and they can’t just be names of minors / victims because one of the redacted names occurs in “the boat ride in REDACTED Birthday Present Boat” (clearly a minor would not have the ability to give someone a boat for their birthday, nor, I suspect, would a minor be receiving a birthday present of a boat).
There are other redactions in other entries - again the most likely explanation is that they are still living, maybe victims maybe not. But don’t get distracted, this isn’t about what Epstein was doing - we already know that. This is about who knew what he was doing, and who was doing it too.
Request No. 1 contains both volumes of the birthday book, and there are some “chapters” such as “Girlfriends”. It’s all there for you.
Epstein Request No. 2
Request No. 2 is Epstein’s will. In it he appoints Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn as co-executors, and Kathryn Ruemmler as an alternate executor. Because the will directs the bulk of his estate to be placed in a trust (the “Jeffrey E. Epstein 2019 Trust”), there are no beneficiaries designated in the actual will. It *is* curious that Epstein created this trust, and his will, in 2019 - which is also the year that he died. The will was signed on January 18, 2019, he went to jail in July 2019, and he died the next month on August 10, 2019.
Also the will form had printed at the bottom “State of New York / County of New York” and that is crossed out and hand-written in are “Florida / Palm Beach”. Now that *could* simply be because they used a standard form created in New York. However, the various assets included in the will, such as “Oil, gas, and mineral rights” are *not* standard inclusions in a standard will form that you might find from, say, Nolo Press. So, I have a hunch.
